About this role
About the Role
We’re looking for a technically fluent Product Manager, AI & Internal Platforms, to help build the internal tools our research, data, and analysis teams rely on every day. You’ll work closely with engineering, research ops, and data teams to ship high-impact tools that improve how we work.
This role is perfect for someone who can translate complex technical concepts into user-centered solutions while leveraging AI tools to rapidly prototype and validate ideas. You’ll focus on execution and delivery at first, with opportunities to grow into strategy over time.
This is a 6-month contract role based in Lisbon, Portugal and reports to our Head of Product.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be the bridge between our internal users and our technical team, using your product hat, code literacy, and AI fluency to drive innovation without needing to be a hands-on developer by:
• Driving delivery of features and improvements that create measurable internal user and business value across the project lifecycle (Content Management and Design, Data Quality, Analysis, Deliverable Generation).
• Conducting user research and validating assumptions and concepts quickly through prototyping and testing.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear technical product specifications.
• Designing and iterating on UX/UI using AI-assisted design and development tools.
• Scaling POCs to production by defining technical requirements and working with our Engineering team to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Shipping tools that measurably improve team productivity and data quality.
• Driving adoption through documentation, training, and change management.
About You
• You’re a systems thinker who loves solving operational puzzles.
• You balance scrappy experimentation with structured delivery – knowing when to prototype, and when to scale.
• You care deeply about improving how people work, and have a track record of delivering tools that make that happen.
• You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity, getting into the details, and influencing without formal authority.
You’ll Have
• At least 3 – 4 years of product management experience, ideally with internal platforms or data-driven tools
• Proven experience translating AI-powered prototypes into scalable tools or systems
• A strong understanding of data workflows, pipelines, and platform integrations
• A demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into actionable product specifications
• A track record of shipping multi-phase tools that measurably improve team productivity or data quality
• Code literacy and a comfort in reading code, reviewing technical designs, and scoping work with engineers (no need to write production code)
• AI tool fluency and experience using AI tools (e.g., assistants, prototyping platforms, co-pilots) to accelerate workflows
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – an ability to influence without authority
