Design Partner, GV & Author
Jake Knapp is the New York Times best-selling author of Sprint. He spent 10 years at Google, where he created the Design Sprint process, and he has worked with over 100 startups including Nest, Slack, 23andMe, and Uber. Jake is currently among the world’s tallest designers.
Jake has spoken about innovation at companies from LEGO to IDEO and at universities like Stanford, Berkeley, Columbia, and Harvard. His writing on startups and productivity has appeared in Fast Company, TechCrunch, Slate, and LifeHacker.
Product Discovery Coach
Teresa is a product discovery coach who helps teams adopt user-centered, hypothesis-driven product development practices. She works with companies of all sizes on integrating user research, experimentation, and the right analytics into the product development process resulting in better product decisions. Recent clients include Allstate, Capital One, The Guardian, and Snagajob.
Before becoming a coach, Teresa spent the majority of her career leading product and design teams at early-stage internet companies. Most recently, Teresa was VP of Products at AfterCollege, an Internet startup that helps college students find their first job. She was CEO of Affinity Circles, an online community provider for university alumni associations and a social recruiting service used by Fortune 500 companies. She also held product and design roles at Become.com and HighWire Press.
Experience Strategy Lead, Sonos
Blade is a user-experience expert, Senior Lecturer at MIT, a frequent guest lecturer at Stanford University and Harvard University, and is the Leader of Experience Strategy at Sonos where he leads the efforts to define the future experiences that will fill your home with music.
Prior to joining Sonos, Blade was the VP Design & Consumer Experience at Jibo, the world’s first social robot for the home. Blade has also designed a variety of technologies including ones at Rapid7, an enterprise security-software company, StorytellingMachines, a software firm enabling anyone to make high-impact movies, Endeca Technologies, a search and information access software technology company, Edify and Speechworks, companies that provided speech-recognition solutions to the Fortune 1000.
Blade wrote the book on speech-recognition interface design (Addison Wesley, 2003), The Art and Business of Speech Recognition: Creating the Noble Voice and his work and thoughts have been featured in publications including The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and on media including TechTV, NPR, and the BBC.
For over 25 years, Lea has been leading product teams to deliver world class products used by millions of people, starting with IBM where she built applications for Fortune 500 companies. At Macromedia she was responsible for new products and businesses that leveraged the Flash Player. At Adobe, she led Product Management for all of the Design, Web, and Interactive tools including Dreamweaver, Flash, Indesign, and Illustrator.
Lea was responsible for the product vision and strategy of the Creative Cloud, transforming Adobe from boxed software to one of the most successful SaaS services in the industry. After her work on the Creative Cloud, Lea went on to manage the consumer business at Adobe where she had responsibility for all marketing, product, and engineering. After Adobe, Lea led product at InVision, a startup focused on design collaboration where she built and designed best practices for the product team.
Lea has deep passion for product and mentoring product teams regardless of where they are in their own transformation, and recently joined Marty Cagan as a Partner in the Silicon Valley Product Group.
Scott is a bestselling author and popular speaker on creativity, philosophy, leadership and culture. He’s the author of seven popular books, including The Myths of Innovation, Confessions of a Public Speaker, and The Year Without Pants. His work has appeared, or been mentioned, in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, The Guardian, Wired magazine, Forbes, USA Today, Wired, Fast Company, National Public Radio, The Huffington Post and other media.
Author & Founder of ExecCamp
Barry works with business leaders and teams from global organizations that seek not to fear the future but invent it. He has been an entrepreneur, employee and consultant, including as a Principal at ThoughtWorks. After several startups, his focus shifted towards the enterprise where he has pioneered the intersection of business model innovation, product development, organizational design, and culture transformation.
He is the co-author of the international best-seller Lean Enterprise: How High Performance Organization Innovate At Scale, included in the Eric Ries Lean Series, and a Harvard Business Review must read for CEOs and business leaders.
