We are seeing an increase in submissions. Current review time is 4 weeks; the first available publication slot for confirmed guest posts is January 2027. We carefully review every submission, please note that due to the high volume we receive, we may not be able to respond to every contributor if we do not plan on publishing their piece.

Share your expertise with the product community

Mind the Product publishes original articles from practitioners in product management, design, and engineering — plus the builders and founders shipping product every day. Submit your article and you'll be able to track the submission process as we complete the review.

Format

1,000–1,500 words in a Google Doc. Sentence case headings. You’ll choose the doc from your Drive — we only ever see the one you pick.

Quality

Practical insights, real examples, and actionable frameworks. We edit to our house style where needed.

No promotions

Articles written to advertise a product or service will be rejected. Passing mentions are fine.

Originality

Must be original work, not published elsewhere. We retain 2-week exclusivity after publication.

Our stance on AI

We don’t accept articles written solely by AI. Use AI to edit, tighten, and pressure-test your writing — we encourage it — but the thinking must be yours, drawn from your own experience.

Who can submit

Product managers, designers, engineers, builders, founders, and people working in or around the product sector. No content marketers or SEO specialists.
