We recently had our second ProductTank that was all about Internet of Things, though today we’re sharing a video that’s a throwback to our first IoT/Connected Devices event, back in November.
At that ProductTank, we had Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino (@iotwatch) of Designswarm showed us how Internet of Things (IoT) is changing the way product design is being done.
She talked about how IoT has emerged from the maker movement as opposed to the design community, and the influence of software development, the importance of hardware hacking tools, spaces and communities that have led to the burgeoning transformation of a traditional industrial landscape driven by defunct approaches to product development.
About
Janna Bastow is one of the co-founders of Mind the Product, and kicked off her first event for product people with ProductCamp London in 2010, in an effort to meet and learn from other product managers.
As a product manager always looking for better tools, Janna also co-founded ProdPad, product management and roadmapping software for product people.
She often starts and stops conversations with the question: “What problem are you trying to solve?”
