Technical Product Manager

Platform 195

About this role

About Platform 195

Platform 195 builds and operates retail media and marketing technology for the travel industry. Our platform lets airlines, tour operators, OTA’s, hotel groups and destinations sell, serve and measure advertising across their own digital channels, audiences and beyond.

We work with some of the best-known names in European travel. Our team combines deep travel media expertise with a modern ad tech and cloud data stack. We're now expanding into data and AI-driven products, so the problems we solve are getting broader, and we're growing the product team to match.

The role

This is a hands-on product role in a small team where everyone rolls their sleeves up. You'll work across two areas: product delivery alongside our product leads, and technical implementation and platform operations alongside our Platform Manager. You'll also work directly with clients, gathering their feedback and helping them get the most from the platform.

You'll own work end to end rather than passing it on. That means taking feedback, bugs and features from first report through to release, configuring the platform for clients, and digging into a client's tech stack if any issue arises with the integration.

Some days you'll be writing release notes, chasing a bug or tidying the backlog; others you'll be scoping a new feature or leading a client launch. If you're happy doing both, you'll learn fast and take on more.

We're also building AI and automation into both our platform and how we work. You'll help shape that: configuring and testing AI-assisted features for clients, finding where automation can take repetitive work off the team, and being honest about where it doesn't help. We care more about whether something works than whether it's AI.

What you'll do

1. Product ownership and delivery

  • Gather requirements from internal and external users and turn them into well-scoped user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

  • Own bugs and feature requests end to end: reproduce, specify, work with engineering, test and confirm the outcome with the user.

  • Keep the delivery board healthy and take an active part in planning, refinement and reviews, so priorities, status and ownership are always clear.

  • Take on discovery and preliminary scoping for larger roadmap items, working towards owning them outright.

  • Contribute to product documentation and release notes.

2. Technical implementation and platform operations

  • Lead the technical side of new client implementations: integration with our APIs, configuration, testing and launch.

  • Work through client tech stacks to diagnose and fix integration and configuration issues.

  • Handle client-specific platform configuration, including AI-assisted and automated workflows.

  • Drive client adoption alongside our client services team: onboarding, training materials and enablement sessions.

3. Product insight and data

  • Get full value from our product analytics and embedded analytics tooling: tracking, dashboards and regular insight reporting.

  • Turn usage data into evidence that sharpens prioritisation and speeds up how quickly we find and fix issues.

  • Help us build a stronger data foundation for product decisions.

4. Technical support and triage

  • Act as a technical point of contact for platform users, triaging requests and routing them to the right place.

  • Spot recurring issues and turn them into product fixes or documentation, so the same question doesn't come back.

How you'll grow

You'll join a small team where what you take on is limited only by what you can show you can handle. You'll start by owning support, delivery and implementation work end to end. As you prove yourself, you'll take on larger features and more of the roadmap, including work the business depends on. As the team grows, so does the role.

What we're looking for

  • 2–4 years' experience in a technical, product, analyst, solutions or ad operations role, with a track record of delivering results and seeing things through when they get difficult.

  • A roll-your-sleeves-up attitude. You're as willing to chase a bug or update documentation as you are to scope a new feature.

  • Self-directed and quick to learn. You can get to grips with an unfamiliar, API-driven system and work things out without waiting to be told.

  • Curious and comfortable with ambiguity. You ask good questions, test assumptions and make progress when the answer isn't obvious.

  • A technical mindset. You're comfortable reading API documentation, working with JSON configuration and using browser developer tools to debug.

  • Experience turning user problems into clear written requirements or tickets that engineers can build from.

  • Confidence working directly with clients and non-technical users, explaining technical issues in plain language.

  • A practical, critical approach to new tools, AI included. You're curious enough to try things and sceptical enough to check the output.

You might come from ad tech or ad operations, SaaS or e-commerce product teams, analytics or business intelligence, solutions engineering or development. What matters most is how quickly you learn and how you approach problems.

Nice to have

  • Experience in digital advertising, ad tech or ad operations

  • Experience with B2B SaaS, e-commerce or business intelligence platforms.

  • Retail media or travel industry experience.

  • Experience with product analytics tools and setting up event tracking.

  • Familiarity with agile delivery and tools such as Jira.
