ProductTank has hit Stockholm.
The very first ProductTank Sthlm took place on May 22nd with support from Klarna. Speakers at ProductTank Sthlm’s premiere were Annie Thorell, Founder of Faces of Tech and consultant at Netlight and Ola Möller, Designer and Founder of MethodKit.
Annie Thorell on what it means to be a Product Manager
Annie Thorell, who works as Product Manager of a team of engineers and designers within user experience design, brought the audience back to the often overlooked basics of what it means to be a Product Manager. First: join the team. Earn the trust of your team, trust your team and protect your team from things they don’t need to waste their time on. Divide and conquer: chop up challenges into manageable pieces and find a method that makes sense for your team and tweak it for your needs. Finally, make a plan. Visualize the plan and keep your team updated on what happens around them so that they can focus on building the product.
Ola Möller on a personal product management journey
Ola Möller shared personal journey with MethodKit with the ProductTank Sthlm crowd. MethodKit is a series of decks of cards, or an illustrated checklist, on topics such as project management, personal development and web development. The most recent decks aim to guide efforts in sustainable development and gender equality.
ProductTank Sthlm was held at SUP46, a co-working space for startups, which has become a hub for Stockholm’s tech and startup ecosystem.
ProductTank was started in London, UK, and often features talks from guest speakers on both technical and business related topics, networking opportunities, and networking over a beer or two. The next ProductTank Sthlm will take place on August 27th. Stay tuned!
