Join us on the Wednesday 26th May to celebrate World Product Day! This year, ProductTank Birmingham is teaming up with ProductTank Oxford to deliver an exciting panel discussion. We are really excited to have Marc Abraham, Head of Product - Engagement at ASOS, give us an overview of their new book "Managing Product, Managing Tension: Ways to Manage the Pressure and Uncertainty of Managing Products".

 

Marc will be leading a panel exchanging stories on managing the more challenging aspects of product. This will be followed by a Q&A with our virtual audience. Our panel includes:

 

Keji Adedeji: Keji is Head of Product at Talis, an edTech company focused on helping universities, faculty and students teach and learn with digital resources. Keji has been in tech for a long time, but like most product people, found a round about way to product product management which Keji has been doing for about 8 years. Keji's experience has taken Keji to B2B, B2B2C and B2C organisations in edTech, customer engagement, travel e-commerce, video consumer insights industries and Keji loves to solve problems in different contexts. Keji's latest challenge is as a Head of Product where Keji is passionate about building a product organisation that helps product managers do their best work.

 

Chanade Hemming: Chanade is Data Product Owner at Virgin Media. She’s spent 10 years working in strategy & product roles on the inside, as well as on the agency/consulting side partnering with startups and other big companies. This year Chanade moved into the data science team where she’s on a mission to use data to make better decisions, fuel digital products and do some innovative stuff that drives value for customers and internal teams.

 

Hayley Marsden: Hayley (she/they) is a multi-purpose geek who’s worked with empowered product teams for over 10 years, first as a user researcher and later in product management. She’s Head of Product at Birmingham travel tech scale-up, Click Travel, where they’re reducing the cost and complexity of business travel though their award-winning platform.

 

Peter Rylands: Peter was nudged into Product when Peter was 23 and hasn't looked back since! And while Peter is happiest when with friends, eating, drinking, or playing sport Peter thankfully also loves their job at OxTS. The challenges are fun to take on and the enjoyment of releasing Peter's vision to the market and celebrating with the team is a hard feeling to beat!
