What are you trying to achieve?
Consider the image below. What and how you measure is, more than anything, about what goal you are trying to achieve. Depending on the size of your organisation, your level within the organisation, and a variety of other factors, you may have more or less influence over the defined company vision or strategy, but you should have an understanding of what the company vision is and some defined goals.
Before the class, please spend some time writing down the following:
- What is the company or product vision? What does success look like?
- What are the defined goals as set out by your team or leadership? Note – if these aren’t clear or haven’t been shared, spend some time creating goals that attach to the company vision – it’s OK if these aren’t accurate, it’s more about being able to go through the process with a goal in mind.
You’ll need to refer to these answers during the workshop. We recommend noting them down, somewhere you’ll be able to access on the day.
