Join us, product leaders!

Alongside the main conference day and our day of interactive workshops, we'll also be running our much-loved half-day Leadership Forum for the senior leaders in our community. The Leadership Forum is a dedicated time to take a step back from the stress of your day-to-day work to focus on your unique challenges and hone your leadership skills.

We'll hear from industry-leading speakers who will be there to spark inspiration. They will also give plenty of opportunities to ask questions and open up discussion in interactive sessions.

You can swap leadership lessons over lunch, chat about how to empower your team between talks, or connect over drinks! And because the event is for senior product leaders only, you can be confident that everyone you talk to is a peer. We're all product leaders working towards building better products (and product teams, of course).

The Leadership Forum will take place at the Katholische Akademie. This venue has plenty of room, good fresh air ventilation, and allows us to work to all legal standards. We are also keeping this half-day event intimate with no more than 60 attendees.

💬 Recap of HH 2021 Leadership Forum

from MTP Engage Hamburg co-founder and product leader, Arne Kittler:

“Our Leadership Forum in September 2021 was an exciting re-start for us. After Covid-19 forced us to fully cancel our conferences in 2020 and 2021, we were really keen to at least host our smaller leadership event at the end of last year - and we were really happy with the turnout. We met with a great group of ~50 product leaders from all over Europe and you could tell that everybody had been looking forward to these real life interactions.

In terms of content, we heard great talks from Megan Murphy (on how she developed and communicates Hotjar’s product strategy), Björn Waide (on how he gave up control as CEO of Smartsteuer), and Dominique Jost (on how he dealt with his recent burnout and what others can learn from it).

We started the day with a joint lunch overlooking Hamburg Harbor and the famous Elbphilharmonie building and also made sure that people had multiple chances to interact during short panels, Q&As, and group work exercises. We closed the day with some nice Alvarinho wines and snacks overlooking the Elbe river from the New Work Harbor’s terrace.

We expect our 2022 Leadership Forum to be just as inspiring and are looking forward to welcoming you to Hamburg in June 2022!”

Thor Mitchell Head of Platform Product Miro Great expectations Central to the role of product leadership is building and developing your team. It happens that it’s not a talk. It’s an experience. Because we have a lot of knowledge and we already know a lot of things, so the question is if we are actually living everything we know. It happens that I co-facilitate with a musician. Because, without art, we’re lost. And It also happens that leadership ceases to be an objective, and becomes something hackable through the habit of 5 bases. These habits go from the practice of true recognition to the silence of redemption or the commitment to our legacy. And then, we all experience all this through our own wisdom, knowing that only through human connection we can hack what is inherent in the potential of all human beings: leadership. About Esther “So I see you, so I make you”. Esther Blázquez Blanco works with leaders, teams, and organizations to create businesses that speak human. She does this by revealing the human connection and the emotional intimacy that exists between people, both inside and out. Speaker, executive coach, systemic facilitator, and contributor to the Beautiful Business Book with her article Feedback as a gift, Esther helps companies find the truth behind the role and develop the relationship between the human and the company. Her vision is a human vision, a spiritual vision, simple, direct, in constant connection with her inner voice to be able to guide any leader and any team. Her main workshops and talks are on topics such as: Be this leader with the Mind of a Dog, Hacking Leadership, and Feedback as a Gift. In Nov 2021, during the Concrete Love (HOBB) event in Lisbon, she facilitated the session “Leaders of the Present” for 300 people. This journalist with a background in Innovation, Project Management, and fast-growing Startups, has also dedicated part of her life to the study and teaching of meditation, performance, and personal growth. Emily Tate Managing Director, Mind the Product From Chaos to Clarity (and back again) Driving alignment and clarity across teams is one of the most important tasks of a leader, but is also one of the hardest. It’s particularly hard in times of change such as shifts in strategy, periods of high growth, or crisis. In this session, Emily Tate will lay out lessons she’s learned about creating clarity through different stages of Mind the Product’s journey, and how your job in this area is never done. About Emily Emily Tate is Managing Director for Mind the Product, where she spends her time coaching, teaching, and building community to help product managers grow in their skills. She has over 15 years experience in product leadership, and while she has worked with teams across multiple industries and at all stages of their product development, she’ll always have a soft spot for the travel industry where her career began building software for airlines. Emily is passionate about the craft of product management and loves talking about new ways to make products people love.
