Travel disruption
A 24-hour airport strike has been announced in Germany for Monday, 10th March, affecting major airports throughout Germany – with some cancellations beginning as early as Sunday, March 9. If you are traveling to #mtpcon London and your itinerary includes a layover or departure from Germany, your flight may be delayed or canceled.
We encourage all affected attendees to review their travel plans and consider alternative routes. Below are answers to common questions to help you navigate this situation.
1. What should I do if my flight is canceled or delayed due to the German airport strikes?
If your travel plans are affected by the German airport strikes planned for 11th March, we recommend the following steps:
- Check with your airline immediately – Airlines may offer rebooking options or alternative routes.
- Consider alternative travel routes – If flying through Germany is no longer an option, look at flights through major European hubs such as Amsterdam (AMS), Paris (CDG), or Zurich (ZRH). Train services like Eurostar (for those coming from mainland Europe) may also be an alternative.
- Review your travel insurance policy – If you purchased travel insurance, contact your provider to understand your coverage for cancellations or delays.
- Contact your hotel – If you will be arriving late, inform your hotel to confirm your reservation is still valid.
2. My travel plans are affected by the planned airport strikes taking place in Germany on Monday, 10th March. Can I receive a refund?
Unfortunately, we are past the point where we can offer refunds for any reason, so we are unable to offer a refund. However, you will have access to a livestream of the keynote talks as they’re happening live. You will receive a link to the livestream on the morning of the conference (on Tuesday 11th March).
3. Will I still have access to the conference content if I can’t attend in person?
In addition to receiving a complimentary virtual livestream pass by request, we will also be providing the following to all attendees:
- Keynote talk summaries will be sent within a day of the conference ending.
- On-demand recordings of most talks will be made available at mindtheproduct.com in the weeks following the conference.
4. Who can I contact if I have questions?
Our team is here to help! Please email events@pendo.io with any questions or concerns.
